Je respire l'air doux de la cité

Last night we went out for drinks at a local tapas bar called Ceviche. They have glorious mojitos, AND they play morcheeba. Plus there was a live flamenco band in the basement, which was too crowded to get a good shot of. I'm wearing navy and black, which happens to be my favorite fashion rule to break. I'm getting good use out of these forever 21 booties, surprisingly. After breaking them in a little bit, they were perfectly comfortable all night, even after dancing for 3 hours!

Blazer: vintage; dress: h&m; booties: XXI; necklaces: antique locket, vintage horn; rings: random

Trend Spotting: Velvet

Aside from vaguely reminding me of the Lisa Frank velvet sticker collection that I had in elementary school (it was the 90s, whatever), I am completely in love with the velvet trend. I think a velvet blazer adds so much opulence to an outfit... I would love to take all the skinny Balmain pants and put a velvet blazer on top. And those blue Loubs??? I have no words.

Have a good weekend everybody!

P.S We're finally getting a cold front tomorrow (poor Eli was dying in his new leather jacket last night) I can't wait!

  12. Damn girl. Love your legs and your boots! In my opinion F21's shoes are rather stiff and uncomfortable (worked there for a while), how did you make it comfy? Did you put party gel. Will be reading your blog more in the future =)

  15. If those are the stairs in your home, then I am in love! Well, I'm in love regardless but their modern design makes me wonder what the rest of the interior of the home looks like...but I digress. What caught my eye was the title of the bar that you went to -- I'm currently DYING for some good Peruvian ceviche. I'm also currently in Florida (Naples) and dying from the lack of good food here. I'm guessing you're in Miami? If so, how's the food down there?
