This is my essential "go to" when I want to feel equally dressed up, ladylike, and comfortable.  Any pretty dress, fitted or flared, shines with the additional of a structured coat. Trenches, peacoats, and longline coats all work here; keeping the coat neutral maintains a necessaery edge of masculinity. Cuban heeled stockings make for instant bombshell and old Hollywood glamour. Finish the look off with neutral comfortable heels or pointed d'Orsay flats.

Some photos from a beautiful day spent in Père Lachaise with my bff who is currently visiting from the states. Normal graveyard exploring plus an adorable encounter with a tiny orange graveyard cat, who, contrary to appearance, was quite alive and friendly after an elderly woman came to feed him. Apparently, this cat has been the bench keeper of Père Lachaise for ages, and the woman has been coming to feed him for years.   

addendum: two different pairs of shoes; if anyone tries to tell you they wore heels to jaunt about Père Lachaise (or most places in Paris, for that matter) they are full of shit. I love you, bye.

I was lucky enough to help out with the presentation of Zana Bayne's accessories collection VI on Wednesday. She is a creative force to be reckoned with, as well as super sweet. The night included a sick video by Char Alfonzo and the perfect mix of creepy and traptastic sounds by Todd Pendu.

 love the clear pvc pieces next to the leather, I think my favorite is either that equestrian ponytail headpiece or the cone chest piece in the second picture.

Living in Paris makes dressing up 1000x harder than the US. Either it's the fact that taxis are a million euros or that the métro has a million steps to climb or that I have a bizarre obsession with needing to be wearing shoes that I can run away from muggers in... whatever. These court shoes are a happy medium.

Habitant à Paris j'ai trouvé que c'est assez difficile trouver la patience de porter les talons. Soit c'est car les taxis sont trop cher ou car le métro a 1000 million d'escaliers...jne sais pas. Ces talons sont un bon compromis.
