Lucid Dreams

Raybans/Vintage jacket/Armani tank/NY&Co skirt/Nine West heel/ XXI ring

Sometimes I forget how nice it is to just be outside and have the sun on your face. Florida really is "the sunshine state". We have beautiful weather so often, that you end up taking it for granted.

So, I have two new (but unrelated) obsessions. The first is:

Spicy Thai soup by Fantastic World Foods. It's really hard to find prepackaged vegetarian foods that are actually good, but I've been practically living on this soup for a week!

The second is:

these Finsk ponyhair wedges. They're sold out, but I WILL own these. End of conversation.

I'm super excited to go see Where the Wild Things are this weekend! Have any of you seen it yet?

Collision

pants: Zara; shirt: Anne Klein; clutch: vintage; booties: Forever

These (faux) leather pants have been something of a secret weapon in my closet for the past few weeks. Firstly, because it's been pretty much 90 degrees, and secondly, because I've been waiting for the perfect moment to say "hello, everyone I know, I own leather pants"
(tonight was 65 degrees, and certainly called for a little leather)
Also, I must say, this highlighter pink shirt was definitely a left-fielder for the Anne Klein corporation. Sometimes the coolest pieces are from the weirdest designers.

And how excited is the entire world for
RODARTE FOR TARGET? (in stores december 20th)

There are a limited number of leaked photos, and one video from Tavi. I must say, it looks good so far. But, so did the Anna Sui line for Target, and we all know how that turned out.

Smells Like Teen Spirit

(...or Marc Jacobs eau de toilet, but whatever)

Slip dress: vintage; flannel: vintage; heels: Steve Madden; locket: vintage

I've been pining for something to fill the desolate mesh-topped-dress void in my wardrobe, ever since I saw this Rodarte dress and this AA dress. Luckily, I found this pale pink silk slip dress while thrifting a couple days ago. It has a super flared hemline and drapes interestingly in the back. I think it could be a lot of fun to dress up, but I opted for the grungy flannel and gladiator heels. On a side note, I didn't realize how wild my hair has been getting. I've been desperately willing my hair to grow faster since I rashly cut it into a bob last fall, and it's finally getting into bohemian-goddess-a la Marykate territory. Are any of you tortuously growing out your hair too?

On the Rocks

blazer: vintage, skirt: Escada, boots: Forever, tee: Urban, nylons: CVS, necklace: vintage, lip color: Chanel Coco Pink

Every girl needs an 80s power blazer. On the laziest of days I just shrug into this perfectly fitted Evan-Picone vintage blazer and am instantly aggrandized. I think I even sashay more when I'm wearing it. I can't even begin to extol the virtues of this white tee shirt; it was an impulse purchase, fished from some rack in the depths of Urban, that has become the axis of my entire closet. Seriously. You can't tell in these photos (obviously) but it has a trapeze hem and is long enough to be worn with tights. Glory.

On to Erdem. I'm in love with his SS 2010 collection. Everything was constructed, perfectly fitted, and minimalist makeup. I see myself living in these dresses in spring, skipping down a cobblestone street.

Jil Sander also killed it (as usual)
